Procedure for obtaining construction documents:
Drawing requests should be made directly to our Archivist at facilitiesarchiving@cornell.edu.
1. Plan adequate time.
Two (2) weeks lead-time before the material is needed is necessary for this process.
2. Obtain a Ticket from the Facilities Customer Service Center (5-5322) for payment of the order.
Customer Service can assist you with obtaining a ticket number, a standing work order number is required.
Estimate for services is based on a per sheet cost and handling charges.
3. Set up an appointment.
Course Professor or course representative will meet with the Document Archivist.
Meeting place will be 201 Humphreys Service Building.
Hours: M F 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

4. Select the material.
Select drawings for the project(s) from the provided Facility Drawing Lists. Sort the drawings into appropriate order (if necessary). Indicate how many sets are to be printed (order an adequate amount of sets for your class).
5. Provide class list
List of class members and staff that will have access to this material must be provided to the archivist before materials can be delivered.
6. Email notification will be sent when the drawing sets are completed.
Your order can be delivered to your campus address, or can be picked up at 201 Humphreys.
Additional Notes : Some buildings and/or drawings will not be available due to security concerns. Universities, groups, and businesses outside of Cornell University are restricted from access to the drawings.
